リグスビーは興味がないと言いつつもフリックが話していたテクニックをヴァンペルトに試します。

軽く扱い、支配し、刺激を与える
この最初のcontemptを実行し、リグズビーがヴァンペルトに何とこう言います。
I'll talk to you when you have something interesting to say.
何か面白いことを言ったら話してやるよ。
それに対して、もちろんヴァンペルトはぶち切れ「最低！」というきつい言葉を投げかけます。ヴァンペルト使った"jerk"という言葉は、「まぬけ、変態、最低」という意味があります。
"be a jerk"は「バカね」に近いですが、語感としてはかなりきつく、「この変態！」ぐらいでしょうか。この記事の最初の写真のヴァンペルトの表情を見てください(笑)。
リグズビーにとってナンパ師はかなり難度が高そうです。
